University of Delaware Scholarship

Since 2007, the Delaware Rugby Foundation has worked closely with the
University of Delaware in awarding talented young athletes scholarships for their
academic and athletic achievements.

Along with completing the attached scholarship application forms, each applicant
is required to submit a letter of recommendation from his/her High School Rugby
Coach or Athletic Director.

Scholarship award selection criteria will include, but are not limited
to the following categories:

Academic Achievement
Leadership Qualities
Athletic Accomplishment
Community Service Record
Personal Essay Quality

The DRF Scholarship Selection Committee will evaluate all complete applications received before the submission deadline. Candidates for the scholarship may be asked to provide personal letters of reference from adults outside of their immediate family and rugby programs and/or attend an interview with the DRF Scholarship Selection Committee. The winner of the scholarship will be informed of his/her successful application in writing, and after formal acceptance of the scholarship, a press release will be posted on this website.
